In Lahore, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, former Chief Minister of Punjab, has accused Shehbaz Sharif and Mohsin Naqvi of violating Article 6 by canceling the election schedule.
During a meeting with High Court Bar President Ishtiaq Khan and Lahore Bar President Intizar Hussain, Elahi claimed Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif, Rana Sanaullah, and Mohsin Naqvi refused to provide funds and staff for the elections at the behest of Shehbaz Sharif, IG Punjab, and Chief Secretary.
According to Elahi, the Election Commission had no authority to cancel the election schedule. Shehbaz Sharif and Mohsin Naqvi have insulted the orders of the Supreme Court by doing so.
