In Peshawar, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa caretaker government has announced its decision to lift the stay order from the Supreme Court in the BRT corruption case. The move will allow for the investigation of alleged corruption in the project.
Caretaker Information Minister Feroze Jamal Shah stated that the decision of the Peshawar High Court regarding the BRT would be followed, and the stay order would be lifted.

The Caretaker Information Minister emphasised that the government is not initiating any new cases but rather investigating the existing cases of alleged corruption. He added that every citizen’s fundamental right is to question public funds’ whereabouts.
