In a statement to journalists at the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore, the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, declared that his party is facing oppression equal to that of Kashmir or Palestine.

He claimed that the authorities had arrested 1600 PTI workers to prevent the Minar Pakistan rally, but he urged the public to attend still. He further stated that he expects to witness the biggest rally in the country’s history and that people will come out of their homes to participate, despite the oppressive tactics used against the PTI.
Imran Khan expressed his disappointment with Pakistan’s current state of affairs, saying that the nation has destroyed its freedom once liberated with great glory. He urged the people to respond to this situation and join him at the Minar Pakistan rally.

Khan also highlighted the country’s pressing issues, such as people dying in the flour lines, and pledged to present his plan for getting the country out of this dilemma. He acknowledged the oppression and sacrifices that must be made in the real freedom struggle but declared his readiness to fight and break the chains of fear.
