In a tragic incident that took place on Tuesday in Mauza Wains, Jatoi tehsil, some 80 kilometers away from the city area, a 15-year-old boy set himself on fire due to anxiety about his upcoming class-IX examination.
The boy, identified as Mohammed Hassan, suffered 70% burns and was rushed to Nishtar Hospital where he was reported to be in critical condition. According to his father, Mohammed Shahid, the boy had been experiencing severe anxiety about his exams and in a fit of depression, resorted to self-immolation.
