A heartbreaking incident occurred in a shelter home located in Korangi, Karachi.
According to the police and doctors, a minor girl was raped at the shelter home. The victim, who is believed to be around 11-12 years old, was brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre by the Korangi Industrial Area police for a medical examination on Sunday night.
After conducting the examination, Police Surgeon Summaiya Syed confirmed that the girl had been raped. DNA samples have been taken for cross-matching to identify the perpetrator of this heinous crime.
Hospital sources revealed that the girl shared with them that she was living in the Korangi shelter home because her father did not take care of her after the death of her mother. This incident is a painful reminder of the vulnerability of children who are left without proper care and protection.
The police and doctors confirmed that the girl, who is around 11-12 years old, was brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a medical examination and it was confirmed that she was raped. The perpetrator of this heinous act is reported to be the underage son of the woman who owns the shelter home.

The Korangi SSP informed that the owner of the shelter home has been taken into custody while the boy’s medical examination has been conducted. Although the boy has not been detained so far, he is likely to face the full extent of the law for his actions.
The authorities have registered a case against the accused under several sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, including those related to rape, abetment, and criminal force.
