Terrorist Attack in Mianwali frustrate – PM Appreciated

• As per DPO, all law enforcement officers were unharmed in the attack.

District Police Officer (DPO) Mianwali Muhammad Naveed reported that 15-20 armed terrorists attempted to attack the Makarwal police station but were successfully repelled by the law enforcement agency.

This attack in Mianwali comes only days after a devastating bombing attack at a mosque located in the Police Lines in Peshawar that tragically resulted in the loss of 100 lives.

In response to the attempted attack on the Makarwal police station, the law enforcement agency implemented a heightened level of security, with officers on alert and with increased visibility throughout the district.

The DPO also acknowledged that terrorism is a global issue and should not be taken lightly. He emphasized that they must implement security measures to protect the public from these threats and that it is the responsibility of the law enforcement agency.

DPO Muhammad Naveed’s report reminds law enforcement agencies worldwide to remain vigilant and take the necessary action, according to the DPO. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has applauded the Punjab police for their courageous efforts to repulse the terror attack. He has announced that rewards and awards will be given to the cops involved in the successful repulsion of the attack.

The premier of Punjab has assured that the police and counter-terrorism department will be equipped to counter the terrorists. Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the police for their brave efforts in repulsing the attack.

Several areas in Punjab, including Multan and the whole Sargodha district, have improved security. Authorities have tightened protection at the town’s exits and entrances to ensure people’s safety.

“The courageous cops of Punjab have completely smashed the terrorists’ wicked intentions,” Naqvi stated. He praised police officers and policemen for their outstanding efforts in foiling the terrorist attempt.

“These brave policemen are true heroes, and the nation is proud of them,” said CM Naqvi.

Dr. Usman Anwar, Inspector General of Police, personally visited the local district headquarters director and congratulated him and his troops on their successes in foiling the attempt.
