Renowned Pakistani spinner, Shadab Khan, recently discussed the upcoming ODI matches against India in the Asia Cup and World Cup 2023, scheduled for later this year.
In a media interaction, Shadab Khan emphasized that most of the current players in the squad have already faced the arch-rivals in the recent past, specifically in the shortest format of the game.
The leg-break spinner mentioned that the team has analyzed and recognized the strengths and weaknesses of the Indian team, which will be advantageous for them in the upcoming major tournaments.

Shadab Khan highlighted the confidence boost the team received when they defeated India in the 2021 T20 World Cup. He stated that after that victory, the team’s confidence soared, and they were no longer intimidated by their opponents.
The 24-year-old spinner acknowledged that while they have encountered India in T20I cricket, playing them in the ODI format presents different challenges that they are prepared to face. He expressed optimism due to the high confidence level within the current group of players.
Reflecting on the significant 10-wicket victory against India in the T20 World Cup 2021, Shadab Khan mentioned how that particular match had further bolstered the team’s confidence.
