ISLAMABAD: By today, the government is expected to increase the prices of petrol and diesel by more than Rs 32 per liter.
The government is expected to increase the prices of petroleum products by 12.8 percent from tonight, with the new prices being effective for the next 15 days of February 2023.
Considering the taxes imposed on petroleum products plus the value of the dollar in comparison to the rupee, the price of petrol is expected to increase up to Rs 32.07 per liter. Also, the price of high-speed diesel could be increased to Rs 32.84 per liter. Light diesel is expected to be as expensive as Rs 9.90 Rs per liter.

Currently, the price of petrol is Rs 249.80 per liter, high-speed diesel is Rs 295 per liter, kerosene is Rs 189.83 per liter and light diesel is Rs 187 per liter.
According to the dollar rate and the levy on it, the new price of petrol will be Rs 281.87, high-speed diesel Rs 295.64, kerosene Rs 217.88, and light diesel Rs 196.90 per liter.
