ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has decided to get the monkeypox vaccine from the World Health Organization (WHO).
According to the officials of the National Health Organization, technical assistance has been sought from the World Health Organization in view of the fears of the spread of monkeypox in the country, while it has also been decided to get a monkeypox vaccine from the WHO.
Officials said protective equipment will be procured from the WHO and vaccines will be administered to frontline healthcare workers.
According to the authorities, 20 suspect samples are being tested in the National Health Institute Islamabad and monitoring is being done on suspected patients coming to Pakistan from all over the world, while monitoring is being done on Pakistanis evicted from all over the world, about 3 to 4 every month. Thousands of Pakistanis return to Pakistan after being evicted from foreign countries.
