Islamabad Caretaker Health Minister Punjab Dr. Javed Akram has said that suspected cases of monkeypox have been reported in Islamabad. Monkeypox testing facility is available, currently, there is no vaccine for monkeypox in Pakistan.
Talking to News Channel, Dr. Javed Akram said that arrangements will be made for vaccines from abroad, moneypox is still not in the form of an epidemic, and there is no monkey pox test facility in private labs.

Moneypox is spread by touching the patient, a team of doctors has been appointed at the airport, and the team will check the fever of the passengers coming from abroad. He further said that isolation wards have been set up in Children’s and General Hospitals, and children between 9 to 15 years are more affected by monkeypox.
