ISLAMABAD: It has been revealed that Pakistan, which is suffering from a shortage of dollars and is rich in salt mines, has also imported two million dollars worth of salt.
The meeting of the National Assembly was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf. The Ministry of Commerce submitted a written reply to the National Assembly regarding the import and export of salt, in which it was found that despite having the second-largest mine in the world, Pakistan is among the salt-importing countries.
The Ministry of Commerce said that Pakistan has imported two million dollars of salt in the last three years, and Pakistan has exported salt of 211 million dollars during the last three years.
