Karnataka: Rs 1 crore hidden in a tree was recovered during a raid at the house of the brother of the leader of Karnataka, the founding party of India.
According to the Indian media, elections are going to be held in the state of Karnataka on May 10, but before that, the political turmoil and excitement are at their peak and it came to a head when the Income Tax Department raided the house of the Congress leader’s brother.
The Indian Income Tax Department raided the house of Subramanya Roy, brother of Congress candidate Ashok Kumar, who is contesting elections from Mysore, Karnataka, and conducted a comprehensive search.
During the search, Income Tax officials found Rs 1 crore in a box hidden on the trunk of a mango tree in the house, which was taken into custody, and the Congress leader’s brother was taken into custody.
Calling this action a conspiracy to damage his reputation, the Congress leader said that the purpose of this action taken a few days before the election is to defeat him in the election.
The Income Tax Department, on the other hand, says that the raid is part of a continuation of its anti-corruption drive that began in April and arrested two people from Bengaluru for allegedly hiding huge sums of money.

Similarly, a well-known real estate builder was also arrested along with a huge amount of money and the school of another political leader’s son who had left the BJP to join the Congress was also raided.
According to the Income Tax Department, in that raid, crores of rupees were recovered from the school, which had been hidden to save taxes.
