KARACHI: Sindh Health Minister Ezra Fazal Pechuho has denied any case of monkeypox across Sindh including Karachi.
Talking to the media representatives in Karachi, the health minister said that there is no confirmed case of monkeypox in Karachi at present, a child of Lyari has been tested for suspected monkeypox and the report is to come, most likely the child has chicken pox.
He said that no case of monkeypox has come up in Sindh so far.

The Health Minister said that the World Health Organization has provided 1000 monkey pox kits, there is an alert regarding monkey pox and an alert has also been issued at the airport.
He said that the death rate from monkeypox is very low, there is no vaccine for this disease, but there is a vaccine for smallpox, which is being researched, this vaccine also works on monkeypox.
