Islamabad: The World Bank has released the Human Capital Review Research Report.
According to the Acting Country Director of the World Bank, 23 million children are out of school in Pakistan and a large number of children in Pakistan suffer from malnutrition, while a large number of women in Pakistan do not have job opportunities.
On this occasion, Minister of Planning Ahsan Iqbal while addressing the ceremony said that the development of human resources plays an important role in the development of countries, the steps we took for human resources in 1999 were wasted in the martial law regime.

Ahsan Iqbal also said that our government started initiatives for human resources in 2013, the development budget during our time was 1000 billion rupees, this fiscal year the development budget decreased to 727 billion rupees, but our infrastructure is like the poorest countries.
He further said that due to the flood, Pakistan lost 30 billion dollars, the conditions of the IMF program were fixed before the flood, but after the flood, Pakistan cannot implement some of these conditions, due to the absence of the IMF program. Uncertainty has increased, apart from this, there is a need for measures to reduce the cost of energy in the country and lift the poor people out of poverty.
