It was a brave fight against terror on Sunday night in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s remote areas, as the KPK police repulsed an aggressive attack from militants armed with powerful weapons.
With support from Tank Police and local residents at Pir Tangi police post near Jandola station, law enforcement was able to fend off danger successfully.
With a quick reaction and plenty of local support, police successfully repulsed two attacks on their posts. Shots were exchanged for 10 minutes before the attackers escaped, but it was clear that Tank’s law enforcement showed bravery during these tough times. It seems like this isn’t the only incident, similar incidents have also been reported from other districts recently.

The Inspector General of Police, Moazzam Jah Ansari applauded the Tank district police for courageously fighting off a daring attack.
He vowed that all law enforcement across the province are vigilant and will stand up strongly to any threats – be it from near or far. IGP directed RPO Saleem Marwat to run an extensive search operation in the target area located at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sharing borders with Waziristan.
Daraban was the second target of terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan. But with courage and quick action by local police and army, the assailants were repelled without any loss of life – thankfully!
