Karachi Police apprehend ‘Rikshaw Gang’ involved in series of robberies

Sindh Police conducted a successful raid based on a tip-off and apprehended a four-member rickshaw gang believed to be responsible for a series of robberies in Karachi.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Zubair Nazir Sheikh stated that the suspects, identified as Zahoor, Aslam, Nauman, and Shahzad, were captured with the assistance of CCTV footage.

During the investigation, the arrested suspects confessed to their involvement in 25 robberies. The CCTV footage also shows them engaged in criminal activities.

Further investigation revealed that the gang consists of a total of ten criminals, indicating the presence of a larger criminal network operating in the city.

It was reported that the suspects received weapons from an accomplice named Jaam Zahoor, who is currently on the run.

In addition to the arrests, the police recovered four pistols and a motorbike from the possession of the accused robbers. The authorities are conducting further investigations to apprehend the remaining members of the gang.
