National cricketer Rooman Raees says that he had heard through the media that PTI Chairman Imran Khan had a hand in removing Sarfaraz Ahmed from the captaincy.
Recently, Roman Raees participated in a YouTuber’s podcast, in which the host asked him, ‘Was Khan Sahib involved in Safi Bhai’s captaincy?’
In response, the national cricketer said, “It was heard through the media that when there was a match between India and Pakistan, maybe Khan Sahib had told him to win the toss and bat first or to bowl. was not obeyed, then maybe something has happened because of that he was dismissed from the leadership for not obeying’.

Roman Raees said, ‘You can expect these kinds of things in our country, the guy who won the Champions Trophy, brought the Test rankings from number 7 to number three, in the ODI format from number 7 to number two. Laya made the number one T20 team and also won a record 14 series as a captain, but after losing a match, he is removed from the captaincy and then dropped from the team. This is not abuse and injustice.
He said that ‘Pakistan Cricket Board should have advised Sarfraz Ahmed if he is not performing, then you should consult him and give him rest and not take away the captaincy, like Babar, India also gave rest to players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, but He was not dropped from the team.
‘When I suffered an injury in PSL, no one even asked about my well-being on the phone’
Roman Raees said that when he got injured in the third edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), no cricketer even called to inquire about his well-being, while Shane Watson from another team came and inquired about his well-being.
He said that after the injury, he requested the PCB to send me to England to get my check-up done but there was no positive response.
Roman Raees said that during my injury, the cost of more than 32 lakh rupees was incurred, half of which was borne by the franchise of Islamabad United.
