In connection with the preparations for the ICC World Cup 2023, the teams of Pakistan and New Zealand will compete against each other today for five one-day international matches.
The first two matches of the series are scheduled on April 27 and 29 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, while the next three matches are scheduled on May 3, 5, and 7 in Karachi.
Before the ECC World Cup 2023, Pakistan has to play the Asia Cup in August and September and three ODIs against Afghanistan. This will give green shirts an opportunity to prepare for the mega event.

Pakistan and New Zealand teams have qualified for the top 8 teams of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League, the Kiwis are at the top with 16 wins from 24 matches while Pakistan is at the fifth position with 13 wins from 21 matches.
Captain Babar Azam, Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Abdullah Shafiq, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Haris Sohail, Ehsanullah, Imamul Haque, Muhammad Haris (wicket), Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Naseem Shah, Salman Ali Agha. , Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shan Masood and Usama Mir are included in Pakistan Squad.
