While the iPhone 15 lineup is still six months away, there have been numerous rumors about the device. Many new features and changes, including a titanium frame, are expected for the iPhone 15 Pro models in particular.
The following are 11 rumored iPhone 15 Pro features that are not expected to be available on the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus:
A17 chip:
iPhone 15 Pro versions are likely to be equipped with Apple’s next-generation A17 Bionic chip, which will be produced on TSMC’s 3nm technology for continuing performance and efficiency increases. The basic iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus is expected to contain an A16 Bionic chip.
Titanium frame:
The iPhone 15 Pro variants, like the Apple Watch Ultra, are likely to sport a titanium frame rather than stainless steel.
Ultra-thin curved bezels:
The iPhone 15 Pro will have ultra-thin curved bezels around the display, similar to recent Apple Watch models.
Faster USB-C port:
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, iPhone 15 Pro models will include a USB-C port with support for at least USB 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3, resulting in significantly faster data transfer speeds with a cable compared to existing iPhones with Lightning. According to Kuo, the USB-C port on standard iPhone 15 models will continue to be limited to USB 2.0 speeds, similar to Lightning.

Wi-Fi 6E:
According to a leaked schematic, the iPhone 15 Pro, like the latest Macs and iPad Pro, will support Wi-Fi 6E for faster wireless speeds.
Increased RAM
According to Taiwanese research firm TrendForce, iPhone 15 Pro models will have an increased 8GB of RAM, while standard models will likely retain their current 6GB of RAM. More RAM allows apps like Safari to keep more content active in the background, preventing the app from reloading content when it is reopened.
Solid-state buttons:
According to Kuo, iPhone 15 Pro models would have solid-state volume and power buttons. According to the analyst, the gadgets will include two extra Taptic Engines that will deliver haptic feedback to imitate the impression of hitting buttons without them physically moving, comparable to the Home button on the current iPhone SE or the trackpad on recent MacBooks.
Mute button:
iPhone 15 Pro versions are believed to include a mute button for turning the ringer on and off. Every existing iPhone has a mute button.
Increased optical zoom for iPhone 15 Pro Max:
According to Kuo, the iPhone 15 Pro Max would include a periscope telephoto lens. This might result in the handset having at least 6x optical zoom, as opposed to 3x on iPhone 14 Pro variants.
