Interior Ministry Issued Notice on Request to Exit Rao Anwar from ECL

Islamabad: Supreme court issued a notice to the Interior Ministry to remove the name of Rao Anwar from Exit Control List (ECL). 

A 3-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Ejazul Hassan, heard the request to remove Rao Anwar’s name from ECL. It has been done so, there is no justification for his name to be in ECL now. Rao Anwar is not even wanted in any other case.

The court adjourned the hearing for an indefinite period while issuing notices to the parties. Rao Anwar’s name was included in the ECL In the Naqeebullah Mehsud murder case.
