If you’re a sim user and you are unaware of how many sims are registered against your NIC, you can easily track the total number of SIMs by following two easy methods:

Through The Website:

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s SIM Information Website makes it easy to determine the number of SIM cards issued and active against your name. Follow the steps outlined below to get the information you need: 

  1. Go to the PTA SIM Information Website
  2. Enter your CNIC number in the provided field.

  1. Verify that you are not a robot by checking the box. 
  2. Press the ‘Submit’ button. 
  3. You will be shown a list of all the SIMs registered against your CNIC; the table will also tell you the total number of SIMs you have registered against your name.

Through SMS:

To begin, open the text message app on your phone. 

  1. Enter your CNIC number without any hyphens. 
  2. Send the message to 668. 
  3. You will receive a reply via text message showing the total number of active SIM cards registered against each mobile service operator.

Please note that you will be charged PKR 2 + tax for each SMS sent to 668. 

Suppose you find that the number of SIMs issued against your CNIC is more than the current number of SIM cards you use. In that case, it is recommended that you contact the Customer Service Centre of the respective mobile service operator to rectify the issue.

Check the namber of active SIMs on your Ufone number quickly and easily. Open your Message app and type your 13-digit CNIC number. Then, send the message to ‘6001’. The server will provide you with all the details.

  1. Open your messaging window 
  2. Type the letter’ v.’ 
  3. Send this message to ‘7911.’ 

You’ll get a message from Zong confirming the number of active SIMs linked to your CNIC.

TELENOR

You can easily do this with a Telenor number. Here’s how: 

  1. Open the Dialer app on your device. 
  2. Dial the Telenor helpline number’ 345′ and wait for the operator to connect. 
  3. Ask the operator: “How many SIMs are active in my name?”
  4. The operator will ask for your CNIC number and provide you with the details.

How To Check The SIM Card Owner’s Name On The Number?

To quickly and easily discover the name of the SIM owner, follow these steps: 

  1. Open the text message application on your phone. 
  2. Send a blank message to 667. 
  3. A reply message will be sent to your device, displaying the name of the SIM owner from which the message has been sent.

How Many SIMs Can Be Registered Against One CNIC?

Under the latest PTA rules, GSM users in Pakistan can register 5 SIM cards on their CNIC and an additional 3 Data SIMs. This means that 8 SIM cards can be registered on a single CNIC.

With the PTA Biometric Verification System (BVS), the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is taking a major step towards monitoring the safety of cellular subscribers and putting an end to the illegal use of mobile phone connections.

  2. Receive a token
  3. Visit the nearest BVS center
  4. Provide your fingerprint

To block a SIM card already registered against your CNIC, you need to visit the franchise or customer service Centre of your telecom company with your original CNIC and fill out a form. Make sure to attach three copies of your CNIC for verification purposes. After completing the form, you will be notified that your SIM card has been blocked.
