According to Al Arabiya News, there are about 25,000 places of prayer in the Prophet’s Mosque, which have this RFID chip. It contains information regarding the date and place of prayer. Apart from this, this chip informs about the location of the place of prayer and also informs about washing or cleaning the place of prayer.

Jaber Ahmad Al-Wadaani, director of the prayer area cleaning department in the Jamia Masjid of Makkah, said that because of this chip, the administration of the Prophet’s Mosque knows which prayer area needs to be cleaned now so that the pilgrims do not face any problems.He further informed that this place of prayer is 16 mm thick and 14 mm long and weighs 400 grams.

According to Jaber Ahmad Al-Wadaani, with the help of this chip, the administration continuously monitors the cleaning and maintenance issues throughout the day and the workers in the mosque work 24 hours a day to clean and perfume all the places of prayer.

This prayer place is made in Saudi Arabia, while in the past prayer places for the Grand Mosque of Makkah were ordered from Germany, Belgium and Lebanon, but from 1999 to 2000, the import of prayer places was stopped and the prayer places were made in the Makkah factory.
