New Delhi: A case has been registered against 1700 Muslims in India for offering Eid prayers.
According to Indian media, on the occasion of Eid in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Muslims offered prayers on the street outside 3 Eid Gahs. The Hindu extremist administration registered cases against Muslims in Jajamau, Babupora, and Bajria areas for performing Eid prayers.
Adityanath, the anti-Muslim chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, called Muslims a virus in 2019. The Hindu extremist government of Uttar Pradesh has changed the names of many cities named after Muslims.
Among the cities whose names were changed, the name of Mustafa Bad was changed to Rampur, Allahabad to Prayagraj, Faizabad to Ayodhya, and Firozabad to Chandranagar. Prayers in open places have been banned in various cities in India.

Officials of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board have expressed displeasure at the filing of cases, calling it targeting Muslims.
