Four officers, including DSP Iqbal Mohmand, died while five others were injured in a terrorist attack on a police station in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa district.
The attackers targeted the Sadar police station, where they injured five police personnel and managed to escape despite police firing at them.
DSP Iqbal Mohmand arrived at the scene in an armored vehicle in response to the incident. Tragically, the vehicle collided with explosives near Peerwala Mor, resulting in the deaths of four officers, including DSP Iqbal Mohmand.

The soldiers who died in the attack were identified as Waqar, Ali Marjan, and Sepoy Karamatullah. The driver of the armored vehicle in the DSP convoy, Sardar Ali, was also injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
Following the attack, the police launched a large-scale search operation in the area. Meanwhile, the funeral prayers for the DSP and four police officers who died in the terrorist attack will be held today at the Police Line in Lucky Marwat.

It is important to note that last month, terrorists attempted to attack the Bakhmal Ahmedzai police post in Lucky Marwat, but their efforts were thwarted thanks to modern equipment used by the police.
In January, another terrorist attack occurred in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Terrorists attacked a police post. However, the police responded quickly and fiercely, causing the terrorists to flee.
