On March 31, the Supreme Court issued a hearing order regarding the postponement of elections. The order was issued by a 3-member bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial. According to the order, the Attorney General was asked to answer certain questions.
The Election Commission cited difficulties regarding security and finances, while the Attorney General requested more time to provide answers.
The Supreme Court has issued an order on the election postponement case, summoning the Defense Secretary and the Finance Secretary to appear before a 3-member bench on Monday at 11:30.
The Attorney General was also asked to answer certain questions related to the case, while the Election Commission cited difficulties related to security and finances.
However, the order did not mention the matter of Justice Jamal Mandukhel’s separation from the bench, nor did it refer to the Attorney General’s previous request for a full court and its subsequent rejection.

According to reports, during the hearing of the election postponement case, the Supreme Court did not include the name of Irfan Qadir as a lawyer representing the Election Commission. The lawyers listed as representatives of their respective parties were Akram Shaikh for Muslim League-N and Farooq H Naik for the People’s Party. The decision was made by a 3-member bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial.
The hearing was focused on the difficulties expressed by the Election Commission regarding security and finances, and the Attorney General was given time to provide answers. The Defense and Finance Secretary has also been summoned for the next hearing.
