Recently, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) dismissed around 300 employees protesting for a month at various airports, including Karachi.
The employees were demanding permanent employment status as they were working temporarily. The protest gained significant attention; even PPP leader Asifa Bhutto participated in the camp.

However, the decision was taken to terminate the employees working on returnees, leaving them jobless. The CAA has decided to replace them with newly contracted employees, who will be given permanent employment status.
This has become a costly lesson for the protesting employees, highlighting the importance of balancing exercising one’s rights and the potential consequences of such actions.
