On Monday, Chief Trafic Capt (retd) Mustansar Ferooz addressed the media and said that maintaining traffic and its flow and implementation is my responsibility. Also, providing traffic facilities, including traffic routes and licenses, and solving other issues regarding traffic is one of the top priorities.
Addressing an introductory press conference after assuming charge as CTO at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh here, I am excited to announce that I will ensure the ic of traffic rules and laws strictly protecting people’s lives. We are committed to making a significant positive change in the behavior of traffic wardens and will be closely monitoring their performance via Punjab Safe Cities’ cameras.
It is challenging to cope with the traffic situation in the provincial capital, with the number of registered vehicles reaching 7.2 million. We are especially concerned that 70 percent of these vehicles do not have valid driving licenses.
