Kamonke / Hafizabad: Actions against wheat smuggling and hoarders are ongoing by the district administration and PESCO department, while 6300 sacks of wheat were recovered during operations in different cities, while 3 trucks were caught smuggling wheat to Peshawar.
On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Umar Farooq Waraich, operations against illegal wheat storage and smuggling are ongoing in the district.
Zonal Manager PESCO Makram Javed said that the district administration and the Pesco department seized seven vehicles full of wheat from the areas of Kaliki, Bhubhara, Madina Sugar Mills Chowk, Sawanpora, and Fatehpur while thwarting the illegal smuggling and hoarding of wheat. Around 3100 sacks of wheat loaded on vehicles have also been seized.

He said that the seized vehicles and wheat have been transferred to the nearby Pasco Centers. 1200 sacks of wheat illegally stored by raiding a warehouse near Pindi Bhattian at Duleki Bypass have also been seized and transferred to the Pesco Center.
