WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is rolling out a new feature for Android beta that will display profile icons within group chats.
According to WABetaInfo, users must initiate a group conversation to see if the feature is accessible for their WhatsApp account.
This feature will let users recognize group members more easily by displaying profile symbols, making it easier to participate in group conversations.
It is helpful when members of a group have similar names or do not have a profile photo.

If a profile photo is absent or hidden due to privacy settings, the default empty profile photo shows and is highlighted in the same color as the contact name.
The new feature is now accessible for certain beta testers after installing the newest WhatsApp beta for Android update from the Play Store, and it is likely to roll out to additional users in the coming weeks, according to the source.
It was reported earlier this month that the messaging platform was rolling out a new feature on Android beta that would allow users to report status updates.
