British-Pakistani Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, who recently went viral on social media for his song videos, was Pakistan’s first-class cricketer.
Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, whose real name is Kashif Rana, is often the center of media attention for his unique style of singing, the singer was part of the Lahore team in the 1983 and 1984 seasons of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
He played two first-class matches in which he scored 16 runs in three innings.
Later he moved to the UK in search of a better future and played club cricket there for 12 years.

Last year Kashif Rana went viral on social media with the name ‘Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’, and one of his entertaining song videos attracted millions of people on social media.

At the beginning of this year, he also sang a song for the Pakistan Super League.
He claimed in one of his interviews that former Pakistan Test cricketer Aqib Javed used to play under his captaincy in school.
