Facing Northamptonshire, Usama exhibited his skills with both bat and ball, leading his team to a 15-run victory at the County Ground in Northampton.
As a right-handed batsman, he played an impressive cameo, scoring an unbeaten 20 runs off just 7 balls, including two sixes and a boundary. His quickfire innings contributed to Worcestershire Rapids setting a challenging target of 197 runs.

Later, showcasing his prowess as a leg-break spinner, Usama Mir took three crucial wickets and conceded only 21 runs in his four-over spell. His exceptional bowling performance restricted the opposition to a total of 181 runs.
Last week, it was announced that Worcestershire Rapids had signed the 27-year-old spinner for the first three matches of the 2023 Vitality Blast. Usama Mir was selected as cover for Mitchell Santner and will be available for the upcoming home fixtures against Yorkshire Vikings on May 26 and Leicestershire Foxes on May 29.
It is noteworthy that Zaman Khan also made an impressive debut for Worcestershire Rapids, claiming two wickets in his four overs during the match against Lancashire Lightning.
A total of eight Pakistani star cricketers are currently representing different clubs in the ongoing County Championship and Vitality Blast in England.
