Following the Supreme Court’s intervention in Imran Khan’s arrest, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) arrived at the apex court in a convoy of cars, with Khan himself traveling in a bullet-proof Mercedes.
His arrival in a luxurious vehicle has drawn significant attention and sparked a strong reaction from the ruling alliance.
Amidst the criticism, the Supreme Court clarified that it did not provide Imran Khan with a Mercedes-Benz for his appearance before the court.

According to a spokesperson for the court, the Islamabad police arranged for a Mercedes to transport the former prime minister to the court premises.
The PTI leader’s appearance was delayed while the police made arrangements for his secure transportation to the court.
This clarification comes in response to a tweet by Ahsan Iqbal, a prominent member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), who questioned why he was not provided with a Mercedes for his own court appearances.
