During an interview with Shahzeb Khanzada on Geo News, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah stated that the Supreme Court’s three-member bench is attempting to enforce a decision that has yet to be finalized.
He suggested that if Prime Minister Imran Khan is serious about resolving the issue, he should pick up the phone and initiate negotiations.
Sanaullah added that even if Imran Khan is willing to hold talks, they will not agree.
He further explained that the three-member bench was attempting to enforce a decision that was not accepted; the petition was dismissed by a seven-member court with a four-three majority, with three members of the Punjab Assembly.
According to Sanaullah, it was stated that if the votes were not counted, it would be equivalent to rewriting the constitution.
