Pakistan’s all-format captain, Babar Azam, and wicketkeeper-batsman, Mohammad Rizwan, have garnered widespread attention on social media with a picture of them studying, drawing immense appreciation from their fans.
Babar Azam took to Twitter to share a photo of him and Mohammad Rizwan engrossed in their studies as they prepare for classes at the prestigious Harvard Business School. The image showcases Babar lying on a couch in a unique posture, fully focused on a piece of paper, presumably course material, while Mohammad Rizwan sits on the floor with scattered papers in front of him.
Notably, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan will become the first cricketers to join the esteemed executive education program at Harvard Business School. They will join the ranks of elite athletes who have previously pursued courses at the institution, including footballers such as Kaka, Edwin van der Sar, Gerard Pique, Oliver Kahn, and NBA stars like Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Paul, and Paul Gasol.

The Pakistani duo is enrolled in the executive education program on “The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports (BEMS),” which will be held from May 31 to June 3 at the Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts. Following the program, Babar and Rizwan will also engage with various communities in the United States until June 13.
Expressing his motivation for joining this world-class program, Babar Azam stated that he aims to connect, explore, listen, learn, grow, and contribute to communities worldwide. He looks forward to learning from accomplished athletes and top business executives in the entertainment, media, and sports industries who are coming from different corners of the world.
Mohammad Rizwan echoed Babar’s sentiments and expressed his delight at the exceptional learning opportunity. He described it as an immense honor to represent Pakistan on such a prestigious global stage. Rizwan emphasized their goal of learning from the best in the world, both in terms of faculty and program fellows and also sharing their own journeys and experiences with others.
