In this area, three close brothers gave divorce papers to their wives at the same time for the same reason. According to Emirates Al-Youm, the village of Al-Aqsaar Commissionerate where the incident of mass divorce took place is considered conservative.
According to the report, the three brothers have divorced the wives for not serving their mother properly. The sister of the three brothers used to come to serve her mother two days a week, but due to her husband’s illness, she could not come to serve her mother these days.
It was decided that the brothers’ wives would help the mother with various tasks. The three had urged their wives in this regard, but on the occasion of Eid, when the three brothers returned home, an old lady of the neighborhood was bathing their mother.

On seeing this, the three got mad and divorced their wives. They called the relatives of their wives and said that we have no place for their daughters and they should take them away from us.
The news of the mass divorce spread like wildfire across the region. People were surprised about this as it was the first year of marriage for the three.
