Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that Khadija Shah, the main suspect in the Jinnah House attack case, is currently under police custody for an identification parade. Speaking to the media during his visit to Samandad Underpass, Mohsin Naqvi dismissed claims of mistreatment of women protestors in jail as mere propaganda, as reported by ARY News.
According to Mohsin Naqvi, Khadija Shah and all the other accused involved in the Jinnah House attack will face legal prosecution. He emphasized that no matter how influential the individuals involved are, those found guilty in the attack will not be allowed to go free.
Addressing the status of incarcerated women, the caretaker CM clarified that there are currently 11 women in jail on judicial remand. He reassured the public that there are surveillance cameras in place, refuting any allegations of mistreatment towards the imprisoned women.
Earlier, Imran Khan, the former prime minister and chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), accused the incumbent government of deliberately mistreating women as a means to exert pressure on political leaders.
