Preparations are underway for the upcoming Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore. However, the Punjab government has issued a threat alert, stating that terrorists have entered Lahore with explosive materials. There is concern that the officials of the law enforcement agencies assigned to the security of the political gathering may be targeted.
Security preparations are underway for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) meeting at Minar Pakistan in Lahore, amidst a warning issued by the Punjab government of a terrorist threat. To ensure the safety of officials from law enforcement agencies at the political gathering, a bulletproof container has been set up for Imran Khan’s speech.
The caretaker information minister of Punjab, Amir Mir, clarified that while the government is allowing the rally to proceed, it also conducts necessary security checks without obstructing any political party’s workers from participating. Roads leading to the Jalsa Gah have been closed for the PTI’s Minar Pakistan Jalsa.

Due to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally at Minar Pakistan tonight, several routes have been closed by blocking them with containers. The routes from Ravi Bridge and Railway Station to Minar Pakistan have been shut down, along with Shah Alam Market and Sigiyan Bridge routes.
The Engineering University Road, Shahdara, Ravi Toll Plaza, Bati Chowk to Minar Pakistan routes are also closed with containers. Furthermore, Niazi Chowk, Delhi Gate and Dumuria Bridge have also been completed. The Metrobus route has been shortened from Gujumta to MAO College. The district administration has granted permission for PTI to hold the rally at Minar Pakistan.
