In Punjab, It has been decided to end the subsidy on government-provided wheat and flour.
According to News, a targeted subsidy will be given instead of a general subsidy in Punjab. It has been decided to include 11,000 licensed shops to distribute free flour during Ramadan.
Also, the price of a 10 kg government flour bag will be increased by Rs 510. In this way, the price of a ten kg government flour bag will be resultantly increased from Rs 648 to Rs 1158.
Note that: After the increase in the price of government wheat and flour, private flour will also be expensive. In the coming days, the bag of 20 kg private flour will be sold at Rs 2400.

On the other hand, the sale price of government wheat has been increased from 2300 to 3900 rupees per 40kg. The caretaker cabinet has also approved an increase of Rs 1600 per 40 kg in the price of government wheat to be sold to the mills.
