Islamabad: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved the increase in electricity prices.
According to Nepra, the increase in the price of electricity has been done in the context of the monthly fuel adjustment of March, under which an increase of 34 paise per unit has been approved.

According to Nepra, the increase in price will impose an additional burden of Rs 2 billion 90 crores on the electricity consumers, while the increase will not apply to the electricity consumers of Lifeline and K.
According to Nepra, consumers will have to make additional payments in May bills.
