Mukhtaran Mai’s family had a quarrel with their relatives over the dispute over giving water to the land, as a result of which 4 people including Mukhtaran Mai’s husband and brother-in-law were injured.
Speaking to GeoNews, Mukhtaran Mai claimed that the Muzaffargarh police are not registering a case against the accused.

He said that due to the pressure of the MNA, the police are supporting the opposing side.
On the other hand, the police say that both parties have been injured in the altercation and action will be taken against the one who is found guilty.
