Mark Zuckerberg’s efforts to establish Metaverse proved to be too much for him in the real world and he lost $71 billion during 2022.
At the beginning of 2023, Mark Zuckerberg’s wealth was close to $46 billion, but this year has proved to be quite good for him so far.
During the 4 months of this year, his wealth increased by 41.7 billion dollars and now he owns 87.3 billion dollars.
In fact, as of April 27, his assets had increased by nearly 14 percent, or $10.2 billion (over 28 trillion Pakistani rupees), even though his company’s quarterly revenue was down 24 percent from the same period last year.
The Meta founder is currently the 12th richest person in the world, overtaking India’s Mukesh Ambani.
During the January-March 2023 quarter, Meta posted a profit of $5.7 billion, up 22.7 percent from the last quarter of 2022.

Keep in mind that Meta has laid off thousands of people to cut costs.
Releasing the quarterly earnings report, Mark Zuckerberg said that the number of people using our apps is growing while our work on artificial intelligence (AI) has benefited apps and businesses.
Mark Zuckerberg owns 12.8 percent of Meta’s shares and his wealth also depends on it.
In February 2022, Mark Zuckerberg’s wealth began to decline and he dropped out of the list of the 10 richest people in the world, after which he has not been able to return to the top 10.
