Inflation Bomb Hits Again, Drastic increase in Ghee prices

• Under Prime Minister’s package ghee price increased by Rs 115 per kg.
• At utility stores, Ghee price increased from Rs 375 to Rs 490

ISLAMABAD: The price of ghee sold under the Prime Minister’s package at utility stores has been increased by Rs 115 per kg.

The price of subsidized ghee at utility stores has been increased from Rs 375 to Rs 490. Under the Prime Minister’s package, the price of ghee has been increased for the second time in two months.

Earlier on January 1, 2023, the price of ghee was increased by Rs 75 per kg. Ghee has become expensive by Rs 190 within two months.

The beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) will be exempted from the increase in ghee prices and for them, the price of ghee will remain at Rs 300 per kg.
