Law enforcement officials offloaded and took Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) former Member of National Assembly (MNA) Saima Nadeem into custody from Karachi airport on late Tuesday, according to emerging reports.
Local media reports suggest that Saima Nadeem was offloaded from a PIA flight PK 503 while she was en route to Toronto. The former party leader was detained as her name was on the stop list.
Following her offloading, Nadeem was initially taken to the airport police station, where investigators interrogated her.

As part of the ongoing crackdown against PTI leaders and associates, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) prevented more than 200 suspected leaders and workers from leaving the country.
Officials have tightened the noose, targeting many leaders and activists who were allegedly involved in the May 9 riots.
According to reports, the FIA provided a list of over 200 PTI leaders and workers to exit points, including airports, to prevent them from leaving the country.
