The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially announced the date for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly elections.
As per the notification issued by the ECP, the elections are scheduled for October 8. This decision was made after Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali, proposed the date for the election.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has recently postponed the Punjab Assembly elections scheduled for April 30.

The new date for the Punjab Assembly elections is yet to be announced. Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly elections have been scheduled for October 8.
The Tehreek-e-Insaaf political party has filed an application in the Supreme Court about the Punjab Assembly elections postponement. A 5-member bench led by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandyal has been hearing the case for the past two days.
