During Rain In Karachi, 2 People Died Due to Current

Karachi: 2 people died due to electrocution during rain in the Machar Colony area of Docks and Islam Chowk area of Orangi Town.

According to the details, a young man died due to electrocution near Bilal Masjid in Machhar Colony, his body was taken to Civil Hospital by the volunteers of Chipa, where he was identified as 20-year-old Shabdal Karim.

In this regard, Noorul Haq, uncle of the deceased said that due to rain and strong winds, the electric wire had broken and fell into the water and his nephew was passing through the street and he got electrocuted while the deceased was working in the fishery.

Apart from this, a young man was electrocuted near Islam Chowk Sarawan Hotel in Orangi Town and was immediately rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors confirmed his death after examination.

According to rescue officials, the deceased was identified as 18-year-old Shoaib. In this regard, SHO Pakistan Bazar Sohail Khaskheli said that the young man was passing through the said place during the rain and during that time he was hit by an electric pole, however, the police is investigating further in this regard.
