The Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has announced the arrest of nine terrorists affiliated with a banned outfit in separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs). According to News, the CTD conducted the operations, resulting in the seizure of explosive material, detonators, bullets, and cash from the arrested individuals.
The CTD officials confirmed that the apprehended terrorists belonged to various banned organizations. The suspects were identified as Atiq, Rasheed, Riyaz, Sadiq, Shoaib, Raheeq, Zahid, Kashif, and Maqsood.
Nine cases have been registered against the arrested suspects, and investigations are currently underway to gather more information. The authorities are actively working to uncover any potential links and networks associated with these individuals.
In a related development, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Sindh announced on Friday that four individuals involved in fundraising for banned outfits were arrested in Karachi. The CTD teams conducted separate actions, resulting in the apprehension of Raheemul Haq, Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Abdullah, and Tanveer Nadeem. These individuals were secretly collecting funds for proscribed organizations, and receipts of donations and cash were confiscated from their possession.
The operations by both the Punjab and Sindh CTDs demonstrate the continued efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat terrorism and dismantle networks involved in illegal activities. These actions aim to maintain peace and security within the region and protect the citizens from potential threats posed by extremist elements.
