The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has accepted the suggestion put forward by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to adopt a Hybrid Model for the Asia Cup. Under this arrangement, some matches will be held in Pakistan, while the remaining matches will be played at neutral venues. Although the specific neutral venue has yet to be determined, an announcement will be made soon.
The Secretary of the BCCI, Jay Shah, has given his approval to the PCB’s proposal. However, there is a condition that Pakistan must confirm its participation in the ICC World Cup, which is scheduled to be hosted by India, in writing.

The neutral venue for India’s matches in the Asia Cup could be either the UAE or Sri Lanka, but no final decision has been made. It is important to note that the ICC World Cup is set to take place in India next year, while Pakistan will be hosting the Asia Cup prior to that.
Initially, there were disagreements between the two cricket boards, with India refusing to play in Pakistan and Pakistan declining to travel to India. However, they are currently engaged in discussions regarding the proposed Hybrid Model for the Asia Cup.
