Rawalpindi: DG ISPR Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry says that some people campaigning against the armed forces on social media are political and some have an agenda with hostile agencies.
While giving an important press conference in Rawalpindi, DG ISPR said that all political figures and political parties are respectable to the Pakistan Army. Organizations of retired military officers should not be cloaked in politics. Being an ex-serviceman does not mean that anyone is above the law. The Pakistan Army is not a supporter of any particular party, thought, or ideology, and the details of the meeting of the top military officials with the Chief Justice cannot be made public.
DG ISPR said that the people of Pakistan are the real power and Pakistan Army is a national army, all religions, sects, regions, and races are represented in the Pakistan Army. There is a constitutional relationship between, in any country the military action against any political or religious group results in chaos.
Spokesman of Pakistan Army said that regarding the election, it has submitted its position before the Election Commission and the Supreme Court. According to 245, the federal government summons the army, the army has told its position to the Election Commission and the Supreme Court. Pakistan Army will continue to perform its duties within its constitutional boundaries.
DG ISPR said that those spreading mischief on social media without research are condemnable, we value constructive criticism, if one speaks against a judge, contempt of court is demanded. If so, legal action should be taken, the ongoing campaign on social media is a futile debate, there is an example of legal action against some individuals, ISPR is the only agency for media in the army, any kind of information related to former senior officers or speculation of the meeting should be avoided.

DG ISPR said that providing security to Chinese citizens related to CPEC is the first priority, the Prime Minister has formed an apex committee regarding security, security audit has been conducted, negotiations with the banned TTP have been decided by the government of Pakistan. The armed forces are limited to kinetic operations and intelligence-based operations. If anyone doubts the operational preparations, then February 2019 is ahead. The difference in the defense budget of Pakistan and India is not hidden from anyone.
