Aamir Khan has extended an offer to Ranbir Kapoor to star in the remake of the film “Champions” after Salman Khan decided to step down from the project.
In 2022, Aamir Khan announced his plans to remake the 2018 Spanish film “Champions” with Salman Khan in the lead role. However, Salman Khan has now opted out of the film, leading Aamir Khan to approach Ranbir Kapoor for the lead role.
According to ETimes, Aamir, also known as Mr. Perfectionist, has personally approached Ranbir Kapoor and shared the narration of the film. Reportedly, Ranbir has shown interest in taking up the role, and if everything falls into place, he will be the lead actor in Aamir’s remake of “Champions.”
Currently, Ranbir Kapoor is occupied with the shooting of his highly anticipated project, “Animal.” Additionally, he is also being considered for the lead role in Sourav Ganguly’s biopic.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan’s latest release, “Laal Singh Chaddha,” received mixed reviews from audiences and faced criticism from critics. Following the film’s reception, Aamir announced that he would take a break from acting and focus on working behind the camera for some time.
