After a prolonged break in the dual flagship tradition, Huawei is set to break the ice by unveiling two new flagship devices in Q1 of this year.
Huawei is back on track and set to unveil two flagship devices in the first quarter of the year. This is a significant step forward for the Chinese tech giant, and they have already announced the launch of the Huawei P60 series and the Mate X3.
On March 23, Huawei will launch the P60 series alongside the Mate X3 foldable device, both of which will introduce new technologies to consumers.
This hasn’t been the case for the past two years due to US restrictions, which caused Huawei’s supply chain to be disrupted. The Chinese tech giant faced challenges in procuring components to manufacture new smartphones.
Huawei faced challenges in 2020 when it introduced both the P40 and Mate 40 series within the same year. The following 12 months were even more difficult, causing a delay in the release of their next flagship device.
Eventually, in July 2021, the Huawei P50 series was launched with a fresh design and improved camera system. However, the company lost access to the Kirin chipset and had to rely solely on Qualcomm.
In 2021, Huawei only announced the P50 series as their flagship, while the Mate 50 series was promoted in October of the following year, featuring numerous cutting-edge technologies.
In 2022, Huawei launched a flagship from the traditional Mate series, thereby establishing a pattern of a single flagship release per year for both the P and Mate lines.
Huawei is on track with its schedule in 2023 and is set to introduce two new flagships in the first quarter, signaling significant progress for the company.
Furthermore, Huawei has hinted at the release of the Mate 60 series in the second half of the year. The launch of the Huawei P60 series and Mate X3 is highly anticipated by fans, and we will provide further updates on this matter as they become available.
